Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing economies in South Asia with a progressive economy has grown at an annual rate of around 6%. The Government of Bangladesh now promise to achieve the status of a ‘middle-income country’ by 2021 and that of a ‘High Income Country’ by 2041.
This light sector has consistently grown over the years, and one of the major contributing factors to this is the growing large domestic market demand.
A wide range of lighting technologies and components for commercial, industrial, residential and urban applications will be presented in the Expo. The Government of Bangladesh has also encouraged lighting energy saving products and has also previously declared the Light Engineering Industry as one of the most priority sector in the country.
This expo will be a perfect B2B networking platform to target the Lighting industry of Bangladesh and launch new products, expanding market and sales with important buyers and form strategic partnerships with Local Importers, Agents and retailers.
Despite various challenges and difficulties, domestic demand has helped it grow and sustain. It is seen that export of this sector has been growing over the years.
In the Industrial Policy 2016, Light Engineering sector has been considered as one of the Highest Priority Sectors. Several facilities, including cash and investment incentives, would be provided to facilitate the Light Engineering sector of Bangladesh.
